Bridal Shower Party Ideas - Yoga Party

Are you looking for a unique bridal shower party idea? You may definitely want to consider a Yoga Party - not only for the bride, but for your sanity also.

We all know how stressful planning a wedding can be, but if you’re the one planning the bridal party you know that can be equally stressful - especially if you’re lucky enough to plan the party for a particularly demanding bride. Why not make the event relaxing for everyone including yourself by hosting a Yoga Party for the bridal shower or bachelorette party?

It’s actually quite simple to pull together. Choose a comfortable room in your home or a friend’s home that can hold the number of people you’re planning to invite. Talk to your Yoga teacher, or get recommendations from friends to determine if the teacher is able and willing to travel. Often they are and will come to your party location at a predetermined time.

Light candles throughout the room and provide mats for everyone to work on. The Yoga teacher is a pro at getting everyone participating from the very beginner to those more advanced. Imagine how relaxed everyone will feel after the hour or so spent in poses that will stretch and limber even the most tense person up.

After the class, serve healthy finger foods such as veggies with dip, humus and pita chips, cut up fruit, nuts, and possibly a veggie pizza. Serve both wine and sparkling cider for refreshments - that way your guests can decide what they would like to drink.

After the gifts have all been opened, don’t forget the cake! Choose a decadent cake - after all, everyone worked so hard at relaxing and ate so healthy for the buffet, a little treat is in order. A fun cake designed like a gift box or continue with the healthy theme and keep it light. A great idea is angel food cake and fruit.

Finally, give a wonderful bridal shower party favor to everyone that attended. A great reminder would be a candle for each guest or something fun like a pedicure toe separators.

Honeymoon Lingerie - Making Your Choice!

So that evening has come, the wedding day has finally ended and the two of you are ready to escape. Though you may be wondering what exactly to wear on your honeymoon since you don’t want to be caught in just your regular undergarments. There are millions of choices for all sized women on their honeymoons, there is a piece of honeymoon lingerie that compliments a persons body perfectly, the troubling part is that you have to look for that piece sometimes for a long while. Of course, lingerie is fully up to what you like, and that’s half the fun of it! Showing off your sensual side to your new husband and these little things to spice up things behind closed doors. And we also have things for your new husband, so don’t worry about you being the only one dolled up.

White is never a bad color on a newly married woman. There are so many choices in what you could wear that first evening. A stunning Laced Corset with White Lace with some of your bridal jewelry from the evening, or a couple of evenings before, can be the perfect set of lingerie. It’s classy, simply, and yet wonderfully sexy for you and your new husband! Lets say a corset just isn’t for you, well a White Lace Chiffon Baby Doll with matching Thong is another wonderful choice for a bride who desires to wear white. It’s slightly see through fabric gives you enough sensual appeal and yet covers you enough to leave temptation in the air.

Now if white isn’t what you’re looking for, and you want something more elegant there is something out there for you. A Scalloped Black Open Front Lace Gown with Matching G-string is a beautiful black piece that will leave you feeling ready to take on the world. The design is wonderfully put out and very exotic for a newly wed couple. If gowns are more to your liking, a Cascading Ruffles Long Lace with G-string gown is another wonderful choice in black. It also has the same exotic feel as the other gown, but this one covers a lot more of the body for someone who is a little shy showing off more skin.

Colors for lingerie can set the mood, white, black, red, black and red, or even pink can make the evening lead to exactly how you want to lead it. Also, think about your skin tone and if you have a tan or not. Normally this doesn’t matter since lingerie is designed with you in mind and normally is in colors that will look good no matter your skin tone. Your body type, naturally, is something that needs to be worked with when it comes to dressing it up for those private moments. Different pieces of lingerie normally means that it accentuates different parts of your body. Think about what you want to draw attention to, and what you want to draw attention from. No matter what, don’t doubt that this will stun your new husband!

Also, don’t forget the perfect heels to go along with your lingerie.

Wedding Planning - A Fairytale Wedding

Just imagine walking into a ballroom draped in exquisite gold fabrics and a red carpet leading down to two thrones in the middle. Gold and silver chairs on both sides of the long red carpet. The carpet comes to an end at three steps leading up to a platform of gold and white, two tall thrones, decorated in jewels and dark colored cushions, sitting side-by-side, the prince standing before the left throne. A grand organ in the back right corner of the ballroom plays the wedding theme as the princess makes her way down the carpet, her long train following behind.  This wedding theme has all the makings of a fairytale wedding day!

A pure white dress, flowing down to the floor, a train of endless length following gracefully behind, the veil placed strategically under a crown fit for a queen. This is our Princess, and this is her fairytale wedding.      She is wearing a flowing gown, a long veil, a gold crown on top of the veil. She is simple, yet elegant, with a Gold Pearl Necklace and Earrings Set, decorated with a charm, or maybe she prefers pearls. The dress is white, maybe with a gold trim - white strapped heels decorate her feet. A gorgeous bouquet of white roses (bridal white signifying happy love), a small gold ribbon keeps these roses bundled together. The bridesmaids to the right are dressed in light colored Victorian ball gowns, long gloves matching their gowns, and each one is holding a single yellow rose in their hand (a yellow rose means “I care”, and signifies friendship), the groomsmen to the left in white gloves and tuxes, all standing in front of the platform, but not blocking the stairs up. Victorian style wedding jewelry sets would be perfect for these gorgeous bridesmaids. The prince is dressed in a tux as well, with white gloves on, but unlike his groomsmen, he has one white rose pinned to the front of his tux.

The couple give their final kiss, and turn to their audience. As the ceremony comes to a close, the couple walk side by side down the long red carpet, white rice being tossed into the air, not at our couple, and they go outside to be greeted by two white horses, and a round white carriage. The couple ride off in this Cinderella style carriage.  The perfect fairytale wedding favor is a Cinderella Carriage Candle Wedding Favor.

For the after party of the happy couple, the fairytale can be carried over. The room can be costumed in a Victorian ball style; gold, deep red, and white would be the ideal colors. The tables can be draped in deep red cloth with gold trim, white plates on top, a bouquet of white and red roses (these two colors combined symbolize unity) in gold vases in the center of each table. The tables all surround a dance floor in the middle of the room, white and red rose petals scattered across, this will be where the couple shall share their first dance as a married couple and it should be special. A small stage beside the dance floor would be perfect for a small band. Most importantly, the couple, as well as their guests, should enjoy themselves, so dance the night away!

Reception Decorations To Fit The Wedding Theme: Top Advice

When planning a wedding, reception decorations can be created to match the theme of the wedding so that the bride and groom have an exciting overall experience. Whilst purchasing all the wedding reception decorations can be an expensive undertaking, numerous businesses rent virtually every type of decoration a couple could hope to find. For instance, if they want a beach theme wedding they could even have sand brought into the reception to give the efect of being on the beach.

Many couples plan theme weddings and if they are having an outdoor wedding it is much easier to sustain the theme through the ceremony and into the reception. There are those that plan their weddings around a Roman theme and the wedding reception decorations may make the hall resemble a Roman temple. Theme weddings are becoming increasingly popular and through them couples can realize the fantasy wedding they have dreamed about. Irrespective of the type of wedding ceremony they have they can find the weddings reception decorations to carry it out.

Decorating for wedding receptions used to be a simple matter of hanging some crepe paper and throwing some confetti on the tables. Today, wedding reception decorations are much more elaborate, with many props and scenery rented for the occasion. Sometimes the couple will ask the guests for the reception to dress the part for participation in the theme. Dress code should be clearly stated on the invitation. And of course you can get your master of ceremonies to dress up too. Learn more about the role of emcee in these articles

follow the advice and you are sure to pick a suitable person to take on the mc role. And equally important they’ll know what to do!

Holidays Provide Many Decorating Ideas
A couple being married around Halloween may decide to have a costume party theme for their reception at which guests are asked to attend in costume. The weddings reception decorations will include pumpkins, skeletons and other props most often associated with that holiday. The basket into which give envelopes are placed might be a large pumpkin, the type used by children for trick or treating and the groom may show up wearing a ball and chain.

Many more traditional wedding reception decorations are also available and generally cover the gamut of tablecloths, table skirts and numerous decorations for the cake and the food tables. While silver is a popular color for many weddings reception decorations, pastel colors are growing in popularity, especially for weddings held in the spring.

While weddings reception decorations generally revolve around the theme of the wedding, it is not unusual to find them relating to the weather. Couple who love to ski, for example could have a skiing theme to their winter wedding, using skis and a fake ski lift as part of the decorations.

So let that imagination loose.

Wedding Favors - A Unique Gift To Speak Thank You

Wedding creating can be a harrowing experience. Who has time to even contemplate what to give for wedding favors? And how vital is it anyway; it just sits there on the guest’s table. Should I even concern myself about which one to purchase? I’ll just overlook it and do it when I have time.

Traditionally, wedding favors are an great way to say “thank you” to your guests for being a special part of your very special day. Normally, cookies, chocolate, almonds wrapped in tulle and home baked goods were the best kind of wedding favors that a guest could receive.

These days, unique wedding favors such as candles, teapots, luggage tags, Cinderella slippers are more of what we are seeing more than baked goods and tulle wrapped almonds. Wedding favors have become more stylish and forged a real place as part of every wedding.

Don’t make your wedding favors an add on. Make sure your guests know that you appreciate them and that they are very important to you and your new spouse. Whether anyone likes it or not, that first impression that your guest gets and feels as he sees those wedding favors on their table at the wedding, will be a big factor is how they feel about your special day. Give some deliberation before choosing this item. It is a big reflection on your day.

Find a theme that you are going to use throughout your wedding. There are a great deal of them that you can use such as: Cinderella, Beach, Formal, Black and White, Wine, Italian, and the list continues forever. Remember, you don’t have to go over the top with your theme, just suggest it in special places during your decorating and reception area.

Once you have a theme, figure out how many you will call for. Certain couples give wedding favors to every guest, while others just give one favor per couple. One favor per couple is evidently more cost effective. Some wedding favors like the “cheers to a great combination wine set”, which you can find by searching for it online, contains two wine stoppers in one gift box. This is a very good plan for couples who are dead set on giving out favors to every guest at their wedding.

So how do you go about making sure that you do what is right regarding these legendary wedding favors? While taking care of the ‘more important’ areas of your wedding, keep a attentive eye out for that wedding favor that may be ideal for your special day. They are everywhere; in bridal gown shops, florists and every place that you will visit that has everything to do with weddings. Try to multi-task, always keeping your eye out for the most ideal wedding favors to say a big thank you to your guests for sharing in one of the most exciting and extraordinary days of your life.

Wedding favors are very important to your guests. Wedding favors should be imperative to you too.

Sterling Silver Jewelry – The Perfect Gift!

Trying to decide on the perfect gift for someone? Possibly it’s a best friend, sister, bridesmaid or someone else close to you. Sterling silver jewelry is always a fantastic choice for any occasion.

Sterling silver jewelry has a very classic appeal to it and never goes out of style. It doesn’t matter the person’s age or whether they are male or female, sterling silver appeals to all. Silver jewelry never goes out of style and because it is so affordable, it is easy to keep adding to a jewelry collection. Designers are continually adding new, exciting pieces to their sterling silver product lines – pieces that you can afford.

So what type of silver jewelry should you select as a gift? Depending on the person receiving it, the options are unlimited! Beautiful .925 silver is often combined with gemstones for a very unique design. You may want to select a silver ring or silver necklace with the receiver’s birthstone making your gift that much more personal.

For a more tailored person, select a streamlined design that is simple, yet classic in looks. Perfect examples would be a bezel set CZ diamond pendant on a silver chain or an elegant bracelet with an open heart charm.

Sterling silver is also perfect as a gift for men too. Cuff links, bracelets and necklaces finely crafted in silver are always welcome gift for men.

Selecting silver jewelry with a rhodium finish will keep the jewelry from tarnishing and you won’t have to clean your jewelry as often as you would if it didn’t have the rhodium finish. Also be sure when shopping for your jewelry, that you choose silver that is .925 silver. Silver that has 92.5% silver will have the .925 mark on the piece.

Finally, when selecting the jewelry, the more intricate or fancy the design, the more your piece will increase in value – especially with today’s economy.

Popping The Question - Proposing To Your Bride To Be

We have a new section just added - getting married from a male point of view!  Here is the first entry:

Although the stereotype generally portrays an overwhelming fear in guys popping the question and ending their freedom as the uncommitted bachelor, I think what really strikes fear in the heart of so many men is the sheer vulnerability of what it means to ask someone to be there for the rest of each other’s life. Confidence is the key to chasing the dread away and planning the way to ask can help turn the question into the proposal she has always wanted.

The first thing to do is to think of places. Where might be a good place? Think back to when you first started do date her. Places that are meaningful are great spots to choose; places such as where the two of you first kissed, the first place you went together for dinner, or maybe even the place where you realized that this is the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with. Places you know and recognize will help you to remain calm while you descend onto one knee, if that is what you intend to do. Decide before you go if or not you are going to kneel.

Also think of what kind of proposal it is going to be; loud and flashy in front of dozens of strangers or quiet and serene with only the two of you together in a moment stolen from time. You have to remember to make it special because if everything goes right you will not have another shot at this. The timing is another thing that must be perfect. You must never, under any circumstance, get her to the place then turn and say,”Well, now that I have you here…” The moment that you pop the question is the time that you and she will remember for the rest of your lives, so having it planned and making it flawless is worth the effort.

When you arrive at the site, do not ask her immediately. Wait and converse with her for a bit with sweet, romantic nothings. Another thing to keep in mind would be the ring size; if you do not know her ring size and you bring the wrong size, it could turn out to be a very embarrassing situation for both parties. Now that we’re on the topic of the ring, try to keep a keen eye on ring designs that she might like. Getting her a ring that she does not like might influence her answer.

Although I myself have not yet popped the question, I have pondered this several times. Even though I am not ready to get married and do not see myself getting married for several years, I do want the moment when I am ready to ask that special someone to be my better half to be timeless. It will be a true tale of romanticism and chivalry that is worthy of storybook proportions.

Choosing Gifts For Groomsmen For Your Bridal Party

So, you are getting married and you need to buy gifts for your groomsmen? The first thing would be to think about whom your groomsmen are and what each one of them would like. Most grooms will buy one gift for all his groomsmen and I am not sure that is the best way to shop. Each of your groomsmen is also a friend which means that you have spent time with them. You know your friends so shop accordingly. Not every one of your groomsmen is going to want a tie. If you don’t know what to get for your friends, timeless classics, and personalized gifts are always a nice touch. Items such as pocket watches, flasks, poker sets, and beer mugs are ideal candidates because most men are going to enjoy said items.

A good example of unique groomsmen gifts would be cuff links. Twenty-seven years ago my father was part of a cousin’s wedding as a groomsman, and as a gift for the groomsmen they were all handed cuff links with their initials engraved in, which were to be worn the day of the wedding. They were very appealing to look at, silver, with calligraphy used as the template. Even though decades passed, my father held on to these cuff links, and soon handed these cuff links down to myself (seeing as my initials were the same as his). It was a memorable gift that I will always cherish, and one day hope to hand to my first born son, whose initials will remain the same. It will be a heartfelt family tradition that all started twenty-seven years ago with a pair of cuff links. Perhaps your groomsmen will start the same tradition, handing father to son, or grandfather to grandson, and it all began with a gift at your wedding.

Leather bound items are always popular. Black leather is easily maintained, and will last long as a belt wrapping on a flask (another good gift!). Templates on popular items such as flasks, and pocket watches, can be personalized with engravings of names or initials. Most of these items will come in either silver-plated, or gold-plated, it really depends what style your wedding is and mostly on the person in which you are giving the item to. A poker set would have been a great gift handed to myself at my cousin’s wedding last year, but instead he choose to hand out a group gift, key chains. Not to say that the gift was unappreciated but the best man did receive a better gift than every one else, which was a poker case, filled with gold-plated poker chips, and bound in black leather. His initials were engraved in a gold plate on top of the case, and the cards where printed in Old English font with no numbers, just the suit images.

Many grooms have already decided that at their wedding most of the groomsmen will receive personalized pocket watches to symbolize the time spent together as friends, and the future hopefully to come.
